We were traveling with a motorhome and stayed there one night. Total calm with a view of a stork nest with three young animals. Beautiful In the evening we ate delicious asparagus in the restaurant and had a nice chat with the landlady. We will be back when we are in the area.

We celebrated my wife's birthday here. The food was very good and the staff very friendly and courteous. All of our guests were thrilled and so were we. I can only say: again and again.

In Sweden, the owner regularly goes hunting for meat that is also offered in the restaurant. Unfortunately for the visitor, this stock runs out quickly. In the Dithmarscher land where Barkenholm is located, a week of "Kohltage" is held annually. This is also the case in this restaurant. Due to the crowds, reservations are then required. Good ending to our trip to Schleswig Holstein.
